I chose to give these guys a chance due to reviews from Techradar, how wrong they were. Firstly their 24/7 chat was abysmal and non existent. I managed to get on briefly before being cut off. I had to raise a log, which then when i went to push send, just would not work. Communication is abhorant with this company. I have made a case with PayPal to get my money back as their streaming BBC Iplayer did not work, nor did virgin tv go on desktop or the windows app. COmplete waste of time and money. I do not recommend this company due to their poor responses, lack of 24/7 customer support and poor communication/support when needed. I went to expressvpn and accessed their 24/7 support immediately. turns out the BBC have basically stopped all VPN providers from accessing their services according to expressvpn. If I need VPN it will be ExpressVpn who i use

I have to give credit to this VPN service. All problems are quickly sorted out via live chat (which do not happen very often) plus they update their streaming servers regularly if one gets blocked. I always use it on my iPhone, iPad and iMac computer. When my subscription ends, I will definitely subscribe again.

First, I am running a MBPro 2016 Retina (13-inch, 2016, Four Thunderbolt 3 Ports), 3.3 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i7, 16 GB 2133 MHz LPDDR3- it is very quick and my internet provider high speed is average of 110-120 mbs download, 6+ upload, without VPN; 65-75 and 4-5 with VPN.

Second, I have BitDefender Virus/Malware, etc., and bought their VPN service last year.
About a month ago I began to experience mail server interruptions where outgoing mail would not go, unless I restarted the computer. I did some researching and discovered that when the VPN was off, there was no problem; when it was on, is when there was.

My contract for that VPN is expiring soon, and I want to make sure that I can have a VPN coverage that does not affect my email coming and going.

Am I making the right assumption that VPN should NOT affect mail coming and going, or is it a problem other folks have, and therefore must leave the VPN off? If I have to leave it off, is it safe to receive and send mail without VPN in play?

I would include VPN servers specifically for Call of Duty: (All Franchises of this game!) and Grand Theft Auto 5 Online, & try to include support for all Player Vs Player online games with a competitive scene because on these games people always try to trace your Location and tell you it to scare you.

It boots almost instantly, has multiple countries to be from and shuts down on demand with ease.

CyberGhost VPN was very easy to setup. I was able to protect my router, browser and phone with a couple of clicks. The program guided me through the setup. We’re glad that we choose CyberGhost VPN.

3. They don’t care about their customers! I asked for a refund because their update caused error they refused imagine a company refusing to refund you for a service they can’t give!

4. The customer support will just ignore you!

Great tool for me since I am living over seas and out of the US. Some things require being in the US to work properly. Cyberghost solves a lot of issues for me. There is also an app for my IPTV that sure makes things more stable. I would recommend to my friends.

Only $60 a year, and I stopped getting letters from my ISP about things. Works great, simple layout, and great customer service that even helped me recover my account when I forgot my login info. All around a good service.

Does everything you would expect from a decent VPN at a great price – this is my second 18 month subscription and have had zero issues. They even gave me the opportunity to be a beta tester for the new version – happy to help!

Good service easy to use

BBC iPlayer servers are blocked constantly.
Reached out to support several times, they answer with a delay (more than 24 hours), and they can resolve it, instead they are just giving the usual “advices” to clean the cache etc.

What a wonderful app!!!! Those 4 words frequently cycled through my brain in the form of a mantra when deciding how i should begin this review. Let me start by saying that this product is the genesis of my journey through the VPN world, and it has been an unregretful experience every step of the way. CyberGhost VPN has overachieved in regards to resolving past and unforeseen future conflicts that existed before my knowledge of this app. I have recommended CyberGhost to 4 of my family members and they ALL frequently remind me of how thankful they are to have been made aware of this app. 5 stars!!!!!

Cyberghost says they don,t know me! Funny that. So why is the technical engineer writing emails to me explaining that they have massiv problems with BBC i Player. Servers for BBC i Player are constantly blocked. This problem exists for weeks now and still exists. BBC has obviously blocked all servers. So the VPN is absolutely worthless. Did pay for a 3 years contract because they promissed special servers for iPlayer access and now I can not use it at all. Want my money back. But they do not give me my money back.

Easy to connect to server. some server are fast but some are very slow . Possibly due to traffic or distance. Just need to go through the various to find a speedy connection.

Ive been using cyberghost for about 6 months, so far its been great, I love the fact that I can switch servers for streaming, that has really made a difference when looking at Netflix shows in Europe. I pretty much keep the vpn on all the time and haven’t seen any speed issues when surfing the web or streaming movies.

It does its job correctly at a decent price in comparison to other VPN companies. I personally didn’t research that much into this but from what I have experienced, nothing went wrong and the job I wanted it to do was done well.

Firstly I would like to say, I don’t write reviews about companies I haven’t dealt with or given a fair chance to reverse any damage they may have inadvertently caused. I also like to, wherever possible, show an example of at least one of the things I’m complaining about . EG: If you go to Cyberghost vpn site and read the pricing on the first page you will notice an entry which advertises “Best Value Deal” . I invite anyone to try to sign up for that deal . I assure you , you won’t be able to get it at the advertised au $3.99. per month for 18 months. After messing with it for awhile you’ll realize there is a different price au$4.68 per month for 18 months. When you get to that part the web page will allow you to sign up.
I actually messed with that site for quite a long time before deciding to bite the bullet and pay the higher price. The sale went through as it was supposed to and I installed the program. Installation went ahead without any more trouble and then I got an email from Restoro.com, which sells a registry cleaner program among other things computer related. They offered to provide a quick scan and clean of my computer and the setting up of a fresh Windows platform on which to place my new Cyberghost VPN program.( for free) At the point of downloading the Restoro program, my anti-malware program halted me and declared the restoro site as bad news and the Restoro program as an Uwanted Program. (PUP).
When I disregarded the warning and continued the download, I was halted by my antivirus program which warned me of a trojan on that site. I immediately contacted Cyberghost help desk who told me that while they sympathized with my problem, they denied any responsibility for any inconvenience or damage which may have been inadvertently caused by their third party software partner, Restoro. I gave Restoro site the opportunity to put right their misdeeds by sending an email to their customer complaints desk but that was ignored completely. It was only after I wrote a review of their product they replied ( within the hour I might add). As I stated earlier, I already informed Cyberghost of my displeasure and I gave them the opportunity to fix it before typing this review. Perhaps they will now reply appropriately.

It crashes two or three times a day and you have to reboot tha app, in the meantime you are connected through your usual ISP and showing actual IP
It has an stupid, annoying, useless feature called Killswitch that will block your connection whenever it feels like it, four or five times a day, and you have to disable it manually.

I checked CyberGhost on a map. My server was in Miami, Fl. The map had my location around Miami. This app will hide your location. CyberGhost performs as described. Works well and never had any problems in performance with the app. Customer service is very quick. It works very well as a VPN.

I sometimes have trouble accessing technical details on sites in the UK but, because we live in France, I’m blocked for some reason even though both I and the sites are legitimate.
CyberGhost has resolved the problem.
More importantly, we can now access BBC iPlayer which was out of bounds before CyberGhost.

I use mobile internet as broadband is very bad in my area but I needed a fixed IP which this solution did not give me. Using CyberGhost I was able to get a fixed IP and via a reliable and easy to use service. I have only ever had one issue in about five months at this point and customer service was very responsive in resolving the issue while keeping me informed at every step of the fix.

to be honest i have been using ghost for a couple of years because of restrictions imposed by countries and providers intercepting URL’s and using ghost vpn has allowed me to go to sites which big brother stops me on standard connection, i cannot fault cyberghost vpn in anyway, it does exactly what they say, keep up the great work and keep the peeping eyes of big brother out….

In my opinion this is the very best VPN you can find. I have tried serveral VPN servers but I think CyberGhost is outstanding and makes the difference.

Good VPN and when the safety is not 100% (like bug or update of iPhone) they let you know. Also good personal service for questions even it didn’t help me 😉 was bad connection.

to begin i had connectivity issues understandable as not pcs and windows versions are created equal after about 2 weeks it all settl;ed down and i have long periods of being connected as I dont tend to off my pc i usually go for a connection that has about 20% usage and have completed all my downloads online service is creditable and no complaints there i signed up for 3 years and have no regrets at all i did try 2 others prior big names but when they failed the online service was very slow so i changed to cyberghost they do earn their high rating in the vpn world

Cyber Ghost has been extremely helpful to me. For just under $40 I am able to access website which my government typically doesn’t allow me. Instead of relying on torrents to stream my favorite movies, I can seamlessly access Netflix and Prime Video from across the globe. It is said and is true that if you use a VPN service your internet speed tends to degrade, it is not the case with Cyber Ghost VPN. I have experienced low internet speeds but it really never made a dent on the content I was streaming or the website I wished to access. Thank you Cyber Ghost I am extremely thankful for you wonderful service.

Recently got into some technical difficulties due to reactivating my account on a new device. I am not very tech minded and encountered a few problems which I could not resolve. Works just like advertised. Its easy to use but it might be a little heavy for my internet connection sometimes if i compare to other Vpn’s i have used in the past.

The very best to trust and speed, with no logs.
300mbs down altough upload it’s not that much of a deal for me with 10 mb/s in the majority of the servers but the ping and down speed it’s quite decent.

Hardly EVER lets me down. Only occasionally do I get dropouts, I can usually sort that by selecting a country myself rather than the automatic setting.

I’ve been using Cyber Ghost for about 18 months on my main machine, which is a desktop Windows 7 PC and I’m very satisfied with the service, which is stable, fast, reliable and lives up to its purpose. To mention two unanswered questions I have though:
A) When I mark a favourite server by the yellow star symbol and try to select the same one again, say the following day, the system will most often answer the server is unavailable, choose another one. This kind of behaviour has only appeared quite recently.
B) Some applications on my other device, which is a MINIX Android TV-box will not work when connected via Cyber Ghost, which is why I don’t use it on it at all.

The only thing that would make this better would be unlimited connections. I have 4 laptops, 1 mini pc, 2 phones, a tablet and another 25+ devices connected to my home network. 7 connections just isn’t enough! I want to put this directly on my router, but even that wouldn’t be enough because I need my mobile devices to be mobile!

I did some research first, because I want to access programming from the United States (Netflix, CBS All Access, etc.) and CyberGhost came highly recommended. The download process was dead simple, even on my Android TV, but the streaming services knew immediately that I was using a proxy, so I could not access the programming afterall. This is disappointing after reading all the reviews that highlighted that this featured worked and worked well. Customer Service was excellent though, and they immediately refunded my money. I wish this feature worked but I’m still giving three stars because customer service was terrific.

I’ve been a customer since the “crowd funding” at the very beginning. Just works all the time. Lots of options of servers. No problems. Support have been good on the odd occasion I’ve needed it. Travel all over the world using it. Got it on all my devices. Subscription is cheap enough and its probably the ONLY thing i subscribe to. I cannot think of anything else i actually pay for on the net. I usually use freeware and that’s it. So that shows you how much this is worth to me.

Cyberghost isn’t free. Precisely that made me pick this service rather than free equivalents. In use on macOS and iOS-devices it proves to be versatile, reliable and fast enough for my needs, which include streaming services. The interface is dead simple on both platforms. The only improvement I would suggest is product information on Cyberghost’s web site, as that was a tad confusing when I checked it.

Overall I love using this VPN service. Its been really easy to use and activate with tons of options for specific locations for various use cases. My only possible issue would be the fact that it sometimes disconnects during sleep mode and I’m not able to re-connect without restarting the application.

This VPN rules. Not only does this VPN give you an added layer of security, it also has nodes optimized fro streaming, which is often a problem when browsing with VPN networks. One side benefit is seeing advertisements targeted toward the country from which you’re browsing on sites like youtube. Sometimes the service cuts out, but it’s rare, and the report function is quick and easy. If I could I would give 4.5/5 stars, so I rounded up

Download and install was quick and fast. Using the program was easy and was able to navigate without any trouble. Love the option to go into specific areas of the country to connect to different servers, with well over 10 of thousands of servers, which is great. And the international scope with which you can connect is also impressive. The price was well worth it. Overall an excellent program and would recommend to friends, family, and people.

The only part of CyberGhost that is not pleasing to me is the fact that it takes somewhat too long to register when I open a browser. Otherwise, I like it a lot!

I am pleased with the functionality given to users in CyberGhost 7, the ability to pick individual servers based on ping and server load, and the vast amount of servers available on CyberGhost makes it easy to use the service. I have become accustomed to using the CyberGhost software on a daily basis and can’t imagine life without it now. In the next version of the CyberGhost software, it may be helpful to add an meter showing the amount of data users have uploaded during each session, not just the amount downloaded.

CyberGhost was simple to install, very short learning curve and super easy to use. It has been very reliable and has worked without any limitations I have found. I got it on sale so the price was much better than anybody else and I would recommend it to anybody.

I gave cyberghost a very bad review because of the Abysmal support who are either completely incompetent or just dont care about customers.

They did flag it as fake on trustpilot, and now after more than a month trustpilot did reinstate my review.

Cyberghost did also ask me in the time i was customer to review them here.
And ofcourse those are usually positive if someone is new and had not had problems.

This way cyberghost does certainly create a positive bias here which i think is certainly not justified especially if they try to remove justified negative reviews, very annoying!

I have been using cyberghost for ten months and during that time i have been instantly connected to the server of my choice and I think this service is excellent, so therefore I have no hesitation in giving cyberghost this excellent first class reference.

I was enjoying Cyberghost for the past 2 years or so. I was scheduled for auto-renewal. They claim that they will notify you 3-7 business days before renewal. At 11:15 pm tonight, they sent my notification email, (which by the way, happened to go to my junk mail box, which I happen to check and empty daily) informing me my subscription is scheduled to be renewed, 7 days from now. I was going to renew but I went to the website to turn off auto-renewal. To my surprise, my subscription had already been renewed. I turned of auto-renewal and went back to my inbox at 12:15 am and got a email thanking me for my payment. Now like I said, I was enjoying the VPN but any company that does business like this, will not get my business I don’t care how good the product is. They renewed my subscription in the dead of night and take payment an hour later in the first 15 minutes of my due date after sending me an email, (that went to my junk mail and considering what’s happened, it was sent to my junk mail intentionally) telling me payment would be charged in 7 days. I can’t stand people who do business deceptively. I’ve been in business for 25 years and never, ever have I deceived a client. I have refunded people who thought I had told them something different than what I said. I did get a refund but I’m totally upset that I have to go through this with a supposedly reputable business. I will never use another product from this organization.

I just decided to re-up for another year. I am very pleased with CyberGhosts performance. Very few issues, I had a few login issues here and thee but the customer service team was on it very quickly. The IOS version can be a bit odd…as in it wont shut down. Like I switch it off and it immediately picks another server and signs itself on. So really it being an over achiever so I cant really fault it now can I?? All in all this VPN does the job exceedingly well while also being very easy to use. While you should never “set it and forget it” when it comes to internet security, CyberGhost is probably the closet youre gonna get to that.

Works very well and now supports streaming services. Its more expensive than most, however, its security is great and it doesn’t have a DNS leak. With other VPNs, they are often not 100% proof but Cyberghost is in my opinion.

When I first installed this VPN I was rather disappointed with performance, specifically connection/disconnection times.These seemed excessive and made changing servers a study in patience.
However, since the last couple of updates, I’ve noticed that the connection/disconnection times are greatly reduced, although understandably the initial connection does take a bit of time. This is the sort of progress that clearly indicates effort on the part of the coders, as most of the other factors are, to a great extent, outside of their control.

I thought I’d better get a better VPN, to protect my computer, and so I invested in Cyberghost VPN for a year.

It worked okay at the beginning, then I couldn’t get it to disconnect when I was trying to turn my computer off. So, I had to force it shut, through ‘End Task’ in task manager. This lead to me being unable to start my computer up on the first attempt and having to switch it on and off twice before being taken to the log in screen!!
This is exceedingly irritating, never happened with AVG VPN and now happens pretty much every second day!!

Additionally, it doesn’t connect automatically when I turn my computer on and sometimes cannot even find a server to connect to.

I’m really disappointed in my purchase and do yourself a favour – steer clear of this terrible Cyberghost VPN.
I am surprised with all the good reviews – I surely cannot be the only one – so I query the validity of them!!!

Well made VPN overall. Great server support for different regions or VPN usages. My favorite part about it is the easy to use linux / ios / windows clients. Each client is a simple install with a few clicks to get you to being secured. Super easy to use and very friendly UI UX design. 5 star company – design, dev, marketing, ux… its all there.

To be fair I see no-one looking into my online activities , I have 7 different platforms and shall be putting it in some of the other platforms now

It’s a nice tool that makes the job when you want to be located somewhere else and hide your position. Downside is that the VPN is disconnecting sometimes on the phone. It’s stable on the laptop.

Worst VPN company ever. No chat support, haven’t received a reply to ticket/email either. Even though I have purchased dedicated IP, it keeps connecting to random IP’s, even though I have specifically selected dedicated IP on the application.

Been using CyberGhost VPN for over a year. It’s everything I need or expected. Have tried others; very dissatisfactory every time.

i havnt tried any other VPNs but ive stuck with them and i have very rarely had any problems

Great VPN platform. Servers are fast and reliable.

Works great , just like advertised .

CyberGhost has great customer support that can my request nicely, no agro but very friendly and responsive.

They do not just copy and paste answers from knowledge-base but provide a personalized-answer.

But for the performance, I still found that server speed and stability of the connection is a bit laggy compared to my previous VPN service Mullvad.

Noted that ads-block is no longer works. 🙁

Anyway, the overall experience is okay 😉

Didnt work for windows 10 had start a paypal case to get refund as they ignored request for refund .they contact me wanted me to reinstall it which i did and it was still unstable .asked for refund that never happened HAD GET PP REFUND i mean had it for 2 days I am not going to jump through hoops to get it to work! just got another VPN !THAT SOLVED THE ISSUE

I really like the app! Works great and I feel really secure when I use it. The only issue I’ve experienced with it is that sometimes I don’t get my work emails delivered. For me, it’s not really a big deal. But other than that, I’m still going to use it . . .

Great, 99% of the time works with fast speed and low ping, some locations are a bit slower, eg South Africa.

It has been working better than it used to. I don’t use it that often but when I do “now” it has been better.

I am connected. The only thing that is still an issue for me is how to enter the net now

Besides using the VPN for security reasons I also use it to watch US Netflix.

A little shaky when I first subscribed tot he service a year ago but they’ve done an excellent job growing with their subscribers and I now almost always have plenty of bandwidth for streaming over a secure, encrypted connection.

excellent, in particular with your streaming service which is important once you are outside of your country and need TV news from home!

Terrible software, designed for kiddies, oh and more important, unreliable and incredibly slow. They chose to drop version 6 which worked a little, yet still with the habit of slowing down my machine, replaced it with version 7 which is a waste of time, the same speed issues and more, my system grinds almost to a halt every time run it. It is incompatible with so many other pieces of software that it becomes ridiculous, and lets pray you aren’t using windows 7 and CG 7, an absolute recipe for disaster.

Then there is ownership, I get why they were bought out and I also get that they claim to remain independent, but let’s be honest, they are owned by a company that essentially made there money off the back of malware, so to be told that they can only fix everything for me by allowing them to log in and remotely access my machine, I’m sorry but I AM NOT INSANE.

Then there is the tech support, and to be fair they do try, unfortunately THE WEBSITE IS FREQUENTLY DOWN, THE LIVE CHAT IS FREQUENTLY DOWN AND THE VPN ITSELF IS ALSO OCCASIONAlLY DOWN ALTOGETHER. In addition the people who insist on trying to assist you take forever to respond to tickets/emails and don’t appear to have the knowledge or ability to do so, nor the authority to issue refunds as required..

Let’s be honest here, they are cheap for a reason. Don’t waste your time, don’t waste your money. Life is too short, use a different VPN.

UPDATE: Whilst I still think that the beta for v8 doesn’t seem to have fixed any of the issues with the VPN itself and still contains unnecessary bloatware, on the plus side I have now received my refund which is a positive.

The guys there are trying, Its just that my issues still have not been fixed I really don’t feel there software is moving in the right direction Iinstead concentrating on aspects of security that I don’t feel are relevant rather than fixing the core software itself.

Very simple to use. Had some initial trouble setting up Version 7 on my mac and was advised to install version 5, (which worked well). Recently accepted an update to version 7 and it installed itself easily so am very happy.

I tried to select a server in London, UK. Despite several attempts and no matter which London server I chose, the servers to which I was connected were in Washington and Dallas, USA.

Using a newer version of CyberGhost VPN, I was able to select the server of my choice.

It does not work. It has worked, but it continues to not function. It will connect to any server you want, but you can not get any data to come through, making it a totally useless service.
I have been in contact with tech support on numerous occasions. Seems like you don’t get any replies on the weekend. And what they ask you to do does not help with the issue that you can not get any data. I was able to almost get an product page from amazon.com today, but it couldn’t load the pictures. You would be there an hour (if you are lucky) just trying to purchase a iron. There simply is no bandwidth coming through the servers.

Further to my last review about this company, it seems that they were not happy with me telling people about their blatant refusal of issuing a part refund, and issues I was having, so much so that they complained to Trust Pilot saying they that they thought I wasn’t a genuine purchaser of their VPN & trying to have my posts deleted. However after an investigation by Trust Pilot I provided adequate correspondence to them confirming my purchase, Thank you to the Trust Pilot Team.

Purchased a subscription for another year and a half. Best VPN in my experience. Easy to use and multiple devices supported. It is also fast. The only downside is that the “Torrent Option” is too slow.

Another thing is that when using “Netflix Server” via android phone, the download is painstakingly slow but very fast on android TV. Please fix.

Easy to use. I presume they are secure as they say they don’t use logs. I suppose I will revise this should I find out differently.

I am giving cyberghost vpn a 5 star only because i think i am doing somethin g wrong.Cyber ghost 7 ,,,5 star . i down load 8 ,, i got problems .Do i have to connect to both 7 and 8 before i go where i want to go. doing that is slow and a pain.Connecting just 8 takes a lot of time, does not connect right away , has no kill switch ,, and left me in a bad place 4 times. very dangerous. who knows ,, maybe
