I have had a few issues regarding connectivity speed with SurfShark but they’re saving grace is their amazing customer service team! Most recently, Kathleen worked diligently and attentively with me to speed up my connection by configuring each and every device I use SurfShark on and helping me learn how to clear my browing caches! If customer service matters to you, you’ll be more than satisfied with SurfShark VPN.

This VPN does what it does well. I found it to be fast, stable and reliable. Instant connections and ability to set which sites connect where a very useful feature.

Surfshark was a waste of money for me. It slows down my internet connection and does not allow me to access many websites. I have disabled it on my PC IPad and iPhone. Disappointing!

I absolutely love SurfShark VPN. I had bought this for 24 months for as low as 1.95 GBP per month.
Think about that, a VPN with UNLIMITED (yes, unlimited) devices that you can connect, high speeds (I got around 500 mbps), and an awesome user-interface for only 1.95 GBP per month.

If you compare this to something like, let’s say, ExpressVPN which on their highest plan is 6.62 GBP per month and limited to 5 devices, that is a huge bargain!

I 100% recommend SurfShark to anyone looking for a cheap & affordable VPN that can handle pretty much anything and everything they do.

I’ve been using Surfshark for some months now and I couldn’t be happier, especially during lockdown. I’m happy with it because it works, and the vast majority of the time I can get the content I’m looking for.

I was particularly pleased with tech support. I recently reached out for help and got this incredibly knowledgeable, patient and articulate person called ‘Alice’. No idea who he/she is but they knew their stuff and chatted in excellent English.

The company seems to be quite proactive in finding solutions and workarounds so we can access content from other regions.

I’ve given them 5 stars even though they couldn’t resolve the issue I called about. That’s because it seems to be a very new issue, (NETFLIX is forcing me to use the app on my smart LG TV to play content, which offcourse then cleverly bypasses the VPN ‘cos Surfshark don’t have an app that runs on LG). The other streaming services played perfectly, just Netflix doesn’t. I’m sure Surfshark will solve this soon enough. Thumbs up guys, thank you!!

I love using Surfshark, I live in Nigeria so it’s a little hard to find good content. But with Surfshark, I can surf the world with just a click and watch everything I want on Netflix and other streaming services. I highly recommend Surfshark to everyone, I feel safe and happy with Surfshark. And they have the best customer service ever, they live up to their name in every way.

Works as intended. Haven’t had any serious issues but I don’t use it 24/7, only when I need it to bypass my office’s built in security which can be annoying and block the most random things. Speeds have been pretty good as well.

Okey, kudus for the excellent customer service. It’s always easy to get in contact with them. Unfortunately, I often need their assistance. Firstly, not all vpn servers are actually where they say they are. Secondly, the SmartDNS feature is quite unique, however, it doesn’t work at times. I think the issue with both the vpn connection and smartdns is that major streaming services such as Netflix, Hulu, showtime, HBO, etc know about their servers and therefore blocks/detect the connection. Their competitors seem to have a better solution to this since I don’t experience the issue with another company.
Thirdly, I had a very long conversation with their customer support in order to try to “fix” this. Nothing worked in regards to the smartdns and they/she implied, well there’s nothing much more to do. When I asked for a refund they couldn’t do that, even though they promised a solution that actually doesn’t work all the time.

I first learned of Surfshark from a magazine article and upon reading previous reviews of this product and doing my own research made my purchase. I was even more pleased with the price plan offered as well. Downloading was simple and setting up my computer, router and separate devices had running in a matter of minutes. Further reading and research figured out different settings purpose and benefits and been simply experimenting to find what suits my uses best. I truly recommend this to any one looking for privacy and simplicity but gives true VPN.

Really love SurfShark! Unlimited devices allowed on the vpn and I haven’t had a single issue. Highly recommend SurfShark over the other big name VPNS. It’s worth every penny over the other providers. Feel like all my info is secure!

Most of the time I have to reboot – and today I have to disconnect VPN so I can see email and connect to web. Really bad – I may cancel it.

Problem is each time I have to spend time to figure out – change settings or protocol etc. It is happenning too often. The problem is not fixed for good but keep occuring – which is frusturating.

When connected I have no web access then I disconnect and web access returns

Surfshark seems to “just work”. When you want a VPN, you don’t want a lot of stuff to tweak or setup. I got it setup quickly and easily and it works with no download limitations.
It does require some very basic computer skills. Surfshark should continue to work to improve instructions and apps for mobile devices.
While instructions are given for installation for routers, that needs to be simplified to allow easier whole home coverage for things like Roku or Apple Fire devices.
Surfshark is a great and affordable choice for anyone needing a VPN.

I have found it helpful except Bank of America blocks this VPN.

I bought Surf Shark about 2 months ago and I have really enjoyed the service. It works very well with good connection speeds and nice features. Though I bought blind search and found out I have only a limited number of searches, since i paid for this feature it would be nice in the future to have unlimited searches. I had one small problem connecting to the Surf Shark, and I wrote to the company and had a very quick reply and they helped me fix the problem. If you’re looking for a really good vpn at an amazing price I definetly reccomend that you get Surf Shark

Surfshark does not really do what it promises… Yes secure VPN but not allowing you to use your TV accounts…. Tried Now TV & BT multiple times with multiple failures from my UK account… This was not made clear at purchase.

Note I have bought other VPN services and I could previously use my UK account.

Issues bypassing certain streaming platform. Loading popular pages like Espn doesn’t load or work properly, and repetitive connectivity issues with Outlook mail signing on being disconnected non stop. contacted customer service several times to correct the issues with no luck. they usually want you to try every different connection or blam your computer setup and change a bunch of numbers. I DO NOT RECOMMEND

ok so i was having bad lag in the thing i was in turns out this vpn was worse than my original connection by a long way but that didnt bother me what bothered me is dodgy customer service i cancelled my service for generally being a lot slower than my original service but heres the dodgy part i asked for an email to confirmed i cancelled none came then i asked another time for confirmation oh just shut this chat and a transcript will be sent to you no it wont tho will it ? so in me not trusting a word this woman says send the transcript to my email because i know she wouldnt and again dodgy as hell if i would have closed it nothing would have been sent but i had to do it myself what kind of company does that ? the customer service was nice enough but to not send me a transcript of the convo to prove i cancelled i had to not trust them and do it myself

they want no trace of you cancelling so they can take more money next month

Seamless product you can tailor to your needs. Works in the background with Autoconnect so security is always first. Great price options over time. Useful settings to select features. Multiple servers.

I have problems with some sites and have to disconnect it, but in general works fine

Overall a pretty good product. Good value and very reasonable performance. The apps are easy to use with the iOS app and the OpenVPN hooks into Linux work very well indeed. The Android app (at least on my tablet) often has a problem remaining connected, though once stable it works very well indeed. This may just be an Android issue and nothing to do with Surf shark!

Surfshark customer service is terrible. I had taken a subscription with Surfshark and Nord VPN on the same day. My intention was to use the VPN to access a movie streaming service, which I cannot from my country of residence. However, on that day I had difficulty connecting to streaming service on both Surfshark and Nord VPN . And this is where the customer service differs. 
I contacted both Surfshark and Nord VPN customer service through chat. The Nord VPN chat customer service officer, tried different methods to help me resolve the connection issue and was with me on chat for over 30 minutes. In the end he was not able to resolve the issue. He then promised to have this looked into by his technical support team. On the same night the technical support team got back to me by email with a proposed solution for my problem and after that the streaming service has worked quite effectively. I was very happy with this result and have contracted with NordVPN for a 3 year connection. 
Contrast this with Surfshark. The chat customer service officer just sent me a message saying, that they were having difficulty connecting to the streaming website and several clients were facing the same problem. Thats it. There was no promise to help with a solution and even 2 months after the incident nobody has bothered to contact me to resolve the issue or with any updates.

After this incident, I asked for Surfshark to cancel my monthly renewed subscription with immediately effect and received an email from their customer service team, which acknowledged that they have received my cancellation request. To my surprise I was again charged $11.95 this month for a subscription that I have asked to be cancelled more than a month back.

This only reinforces the bad customer service of Surfshark.

This product is a SCAM. It does nothing. I cancelled my subsciption and they will not give refund to any money you pay. Avoid it at all cost. Buyer beware!!!

The main reason we have Surfshark is to watch the hometown team on MLBTV. It doesn’t seem to work. MLBTV continues to block us as in the blackout area. However, smart DNS on our Apple TV seems to work just fine. It’s only on our mobile devices that it doesn’t work.

We have also had trouble getting fast enough data to watch some Netflix movies without it stopping and starting.

However, we have not contacted Surfshark for help, so we may be doing something wrong that could be easily correctable. We are getting MLBTV on our Apple TV, so we are getting what we wanted most out of Surfshark.

Great to use when you can’t access certain sites when in other countries

Surfshark is easy to install and use. It is priced below it’s value and is reliable and unobtrusive. Sounds like a list of marketing requirements for a great product doesn’t it? All the listed attributes are in this package.

Pros:
– the interface is very simple to use;
– adding exceptions for apps and websites;
– the clean web option is amazing;
– the multihop option might be useful sometimes.

Cons: just one. Having 1 Gb connection speed, trough VPN my speed is reduced to about 100-200 Mbps. Maybe in the future there will be no limits to the bandwith.

I am satisfied with surf shark. it starts automatically, I have installed it in PC + Mobile + tablet and it works well on everyone.
I recommend everyone else to install SurfShark on their computers, mobile phones and tablets.

Tried two other VPN’s before surfshark, one never worked the other kept cutting off. Thought I would give the cheapest a go but did not expect much. Surfshark turned out to be the best, works 100% of the time and can access sites from UK the others could not. It’s a bargain.

They refused to honour topcashback in the UK for me. Brought up some technicality like lawyers. Horrible customer service. Also highly annoyed with topcashback support who have been absolutely unhelpful too.

Cody was very helpful to me in reconnecting Surfshark on my laptop after the internet went down. He was very patient and knowledgeable.

Although I actually got a refund for my initial purchase (as it just wasn’t for me and I’m not a big fan of vpns) I would happily recommend this over any other VPN, Nord, express etc. Great customer service and a great VPN service. Thank you Surfshark.

Couldn’t ask for better in a VPN! Does what it says it will do. The only problem is sometimes stuff from my country doesn’t work.

I discovered Surfshark through an ad from Youtude which gave a fantastic offer for the service. Needing a VPN, I gave it a try and after signing up, I discovered a truly first rate VPN with the best customer service I seldom find from other companies. They are available 24/7 and don’t stop until they fix whatever issue you have. I have signed up for 3 years and as far as I’m concerned will never change to another. They give you no reason whatsoever to do so.

I think is great but I had some problems with the phone app when freezes and close 🙁

Surfshark has a robust set of preferences that are easy to navigate and understand.
You can run it in it’s default installation mode and it provides security and privacy with no noticeable speed degradation.

VPN worked great, what was a terrible user experience is wanting to cancel a recurring payment. No option on account settings, had to search for how to do it, chat with an agent, who predictably tried to get me not to cancel and even told me I could wait until the last day (I cancelled one day before subscription renewed). Shady tactics – be clear and upfront with customers – let them easily cancel, would make me feel better about subscribing in the future.

I am. An avid surfshark user, as i have subscribed for 3 years. It has a decent interface,, but it idoes not have the juice it advertises. Speed of my fiber lunk falls from. 100 mbs to close to 10 mps, regardless of the server chosen.
Netflix works fine, but primevideo will just not work.
In a nut shell it gets things done “coach class”

Surfshark is easy to use ‘, fast and intuitive. Several location options. My only problem is when I watch BBC it gives an error message every time I try to open the subtitles.

As an A+ certified tech, I’ll offer my assessment of Surf Shark VPN. I’ve tried several VPN’s; both free and subscription, and Surf Shark rates #1.I recommend “thatoneprivacysite.net/” to do your own research. Surf Shark’s graphic UI has an easy, “Gamer’s” feel to it. Customer support agents, both phone & chat, are friendly and knowledgeable . As with all of the VPN’s’ I’ve tried, there is an ‘occasional’ minimal speed drop, which I find as a small trade off for the anonymity it provides. My rating: “Five Stars”

I haven’t had the best experience with Surfshark’s VPN which is disappointing because it’s one of the cheaper VPNs out there.

2 stars are for the price, ease of use and customer service, all of which are pretty good. There’s a lot of countries to pick from which is nice.

Putting the pros aside, here’s why I wouldn’t recommend it. Surfshark destroyed my internet speeds on both my laptop and phone (even when connected to my closest city/country). Sometimes it got so bad that I just had to turn it off and just not use it. This was really annoying to the point where I stopped using it completely after a month. I still have an active plan of 2 years, but I plan not to use it again during that time as I haven’t had issues with connectivity since.

I know that other people have probably had positive experiences but for me personally I could not recommend this VPN.

Been using Surfshark for a couple of months now and had no issues. Fantastic service and we purchased the 24 months option, which is great value for money.

Surfshark is very effective, speedy and easy to use.They are also good value for money.

I have used Surfshark now for about a month. The price was good and as far as I can see it does everything I need with a VPN. Setting up was very easy both on my Windows 10 laptops and iphone/ipad. I do not leave it enabled all the time, so enabling and disabling is very simple and straight forward and in use it does not appear to slow down my connections by any discernible amount. I cannot think of any reason why I would not recommend it to others.

Wish the trial time was longer than 30 days; still not working correctly (for my system) and its frustrating to try to figure out. Have it off more than on. If was able to cancel I would have; but now I have about 2 3/4 years to hopefully getting it to work “simply” and use it as it’s intended for.

I signed up for a two-year plan. About 12 days past the 30-day refund policy, things went wrong when I got locked out and my login credentials no longer worked. I had to turn off the VPN to be able to use the Internet at all. I called Customer Service and asked for a pro rata refund for the unused time on my two-year plan, but I got nowhere. So I would not suggest using this service. For the 42 days my subscription worked, I guess it was OK, but I have no idea for the rest of that two-year plan since it’s now turned off.

I find the program takes a while to connect and then cuts out. I use it on BBC iplayer and have been cut off many times. I will be staying with Nordvpn. I’ll be staying with Nordvpn I’m sorry to say, as your pricing is really good

Surfshark is very good. But beware of false statements – Does not work with Hotstar India and HBOMAX USA. Period.
No matter what thery claim and waste your time with repeated steps that do nothing.
But for other puurposes such as Privacy, Netflix, Amazon Prime, HULU and BBCiplayer, they are good.

I’m having excellent experience for the most part except when I have to get a link usually doesn’t connect to it I have to go off surfshark. other than that I’m happy with it.

Not satisfied with the service, the countries I purchased the VPN remain blocked and for IP where its generic, the connection speed is really slow.

The VPN I had before Surfshark (SS) was Windscribe (WS) I dumped WS before my subscription was even finished.And I am super happy I did and signed up with SS. SS knows how to use email in customer service and they are very professional. SS provide a follow up email asking you to rate their service. SS also provides email tips constantly to enable ease of use. SS provides support in the true sense of the word.

Oh this is just a disgruntled customer with WS ( one may say). Maybe so but what I write here Cannot be disrupted. For e.g., I write is factual. For e.g., I paid a little over US$47 for 2 years of VPN from SS and US$48.96 only 1 year of WS; WS who falls woefully behind in support.

I had to make the comparison because because of experience both VPNs and I am certain that Surfshark is a clear choice. And even among others that I have checked against. Surfhark is hard to beat ( if they can be beaten) when considering a balance of quality and cost.

After using few other VPN tools I’ve been already more or less sceptic. It was always some compromise about number of servers, available locations, amount of avaible data, speed and last but not least price/subscription options. I did a chance to Surfshark to help me go around geolocation blocks, I did a try. And do not regret it.
After 6 weeks of using, I can tell, this is so far best option for mobile device and laptop at once! Even the price is okish.

After several months of use all seems to be going pretty well. There are some great features besides the VPN service and with a few updates (improvements) along the way there has been some changes to the way things look and feel, but all reasonably intuitive and straightforward. If you put a bit of effort into reading tutorials, guidelines and FAQ, you will get the full value out of this product. Normally I hate reading manuals and instructions but I chose this product for a reason, and when it comes to securing information which needs to be protected then I believe you also need to take some responsibility to ensure you get the best value. Everyone’s circumstances are different.
I’m really glad I’ve gone with SurfShark. Their support is excellent, and super quick to get back to you with a solution. I’m really impressed with the support actually. A number of things I wasn’t sure or clear on were quickly explained to me in simple language I could understand.
I had looked at and reviewed many VPN providers before committing, but SurfShark ticked the most boxes and to date I have no regrets. I have a good feeling with SurfShark and glad I chose them for my internet and data security.
There are some great additional features, plus having a house full of digital devices then Surfsharks unlimited devices is a huge bonus. Their pricing and packages are very competitive.

This was an excellent VPN when it worked. However, my location was too remote for it to work efficiently. Customer service is 5* they are there immediately with on-line chat. I obtained a refund very politely and without hassle. Thank you Jessie. I’m sure I will return again when I’m in a more stable environment. FYI they are currently working on BBC iPlayer but it’s still not up and running as of 12th September 20.

I have found Surfshark to be an excellent vpn. Im definately no expert when it comes to computers but ive found surfshark easy to use on both my laptop and mobile phone. Support staff are excellent and are easy to contact if you get stuck.

I would have givin it 5 star but I’m having issues using it on Amazon Prime Videos I cannot watch any videos if it is connected to a VPN and also some websites won’t load and some it will take a few try before it will load. Love using it with Netflix but I wish there’s an easy way to know which country you can watch movies that aren’t available in the USA.

Does not work on Netflix or Amazon Prime Video. Amazon picks up on the proxy being used and prevents me from watching. Tells me to turn off proxy. But, once I do that, cannot watch from any other country. Overall poor experience.

Surfshark will use a lot more data than you will expect, especially if you live in a place with terrible mobile signal . When I purchased surfshark, I was 1/2 way through my monthly allowance. I don’t notice how much data it was using. The next full month of data allowance is when I realized it was consuming loads of data , when at 3/4 of my monthly allowance I had no data left . I informed surfshark about this and they said they would test connection surfshark tested on 4g not on 3g if I lucky or lower Which I get . I informed them of this and asked for a refund . Surfshark replied with NO REFUND because I was over the alloted 30 days . So now I have spent money on a product that I can’t use properly. Beware of this, product not as advertised

Yep – its a great VPN. What blows me away though the included email monitoring service. it works 10 times better than the one I have with my expensive identity theft monitoring and insurance service. The Surfshark email monitoring service shows me everything, including the sign in and actual passwords that have been leaked and shared. I can now quickly go through and clean up and resecure all accounts. At the tiny price for Surfshark… you simply cannot afford NOT to subscribe. I have the two year plan and will keep it much longer. Oh.. and the VPN works great.

Easy to use and choose the location of the ISP you want. Doesn’t seem to slow down the bandwith at all. Not a memory hog on the Firestick.

So I’ve been using Surfshark VPN for just over 6 weeks and I’ve been very happy. It might not be as well known as Express VPN or Nord VPN but here’s some advantages:
– Cheaper per month in the longer run
– It gets the job done to watch location blocked content (MLB blackout, Netflix, etc.)
– Ad blocking on a computer
– Unlimited number of devices at the same time.

Works on Mac OS, Windows, Chrome OS, Android TV, Fire TV, Android and iOS. I do like the referral incentives too.

Very courteous customer service that knows their stuff! Most of the times ive had to contact them its usually been an issue on my part but they dont judge! As someone learning net infrastructure this kind of patience is nice. thanks Surfshark!

Easy To Use / Easy To Understand / Feel Secure

I had the pleasure of speaking with Byron regarding some issues I was having with shifting my location, and he was able to quickly and effectively guide me through all of the troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue.

I would give a 5 star, but I haven’t used it yet in anything but the basic….I want more everyday protection. So far, so good though. You do have to remember to make sure you are still connected at times, it will drop or “unconnect” at times. I do feel much better, safer as I have been compromised a few times now! Also saving me money on being able to use WiFi that is not password protected. Still don’t test that completely though. I recommen.

Surfshark is the bomb! There are none better, it’s the top VPN in my book and the only real choice for true security.. I’m completely sold on it, many thanks to the surfshark team!

Customer/technical service is bad to non-existent. some countries don’t work as advertised, you will get a location in Germany or the US by default so you can’t access many sites. the connection can be slow at times and lost many others, so you have to disconnect and re-connect again. Most of the time you will have to re-login to the site to resume content.
Customer service won’t give useful answers and the problem has been going on for over 2 weeks… the only update was an email saying they don’t know when it will be fixed… (after 2 weeks of working on it)

The reply below is the same they gave me on the chat… no real solutions to their problems. By the way, the chat was not working today…

So far the app works well. The main thing is that I haven’t received a lot of third party junk email and the subscription price is very reasonable. I am glad that went with Surfshark.

Solid vpn! the Apps for the different platform are really easy to use and constantly improving, customer service is always there, I rarely/never suffured from slow internet speed.

Surfshark vpn is my favorite vpn this date, it is fast and easy to use, in some points it could improve. But I am confident if it will improve and thus it will become everyone’s first choice. But with my current experience do I recommend it? Yes, and a lot

I have been using Surfshark now for over a month I find it very easy to use and it’s very quick and responsive. all work the only negative I have is if you want to record on BBC iPlayer that’s not possible it’ still thinks that you’re not in the UK but if you want to watch anything off BBC iPlayer right now that ‘s not a problem so it’s all good it’s just it would be nice sometimes to watch something Offline when traveling by air .

Just purchased the 18 month plan yesterday hoping to access a geo restricted website advertised in surfshark as mentioned in the website. It didn’t work and customer service response is good but initially asked me provide more info, then agreed there is an issue on that website. Again, when asked for the expected time to resolve, they suggested to use the browser instead of app which is also not working.

Customer service is responsive but not providing the answers/solutions for what is asked for!

I have recently moved overseas but really wanted to continue watching programmes on BBC IPlayer. Having tried several (quite expensive) options which the beeb saw straight through, I finally found SurfShark. They are perfect for my requirements. Obviously can only be as good as the internet you get – which can be poor here – but have not had a moment’s problem with this VPN, and can now watch BBC, Amazon etc to my heart’s content.

Surfshark VPN is my choice for VPN services. Surfshark comes on when I go online. When looking for videos and music on Youtube, I can change my perceived location and access the content (some content is not available for USA I.P. users but allowed for off shore I.P. addresses.) Avoiding “followers, scammers and nosey nellies” is made easier with Surfshark.

Oh, and did I mention, Surfshark VPN is unobtrusive?

this apps was great. but it unable to connect if im connecting my office wifi. there is a few apps that can connect but the price is way expensive and not worth as this purchase. Hopefully surfshark can improve to connect my office wifi and we can connect through using surfshark.

Excellent 24/7 Tech support. Late on a Sunday night, over a holiday weekend, I was trying to install SurfShark for the first time on a 10 year old laptop. By the way, installing Surfshark on our 5 year old laptop was a breeze, and same with the iPhone. However, the 10 year old laptop had not been updated for some time due to software incompatibility issues. Great service under trying conditions

I’m very impressed with Surfshark VPN. It meets all my requirements and is very affordable. I had a technical query which was very speedily and efficiently deal with by their tech support. The software is very easy to install and configure and I now have it on my Android phone and Windows PC.

Cheaper than a fixed IP address from my ISP.
I wanted a VPN which offers a fixed IP address. I just need my outgoing connections to look as though they’re coming from the same IP address every time. Some services (online banking, my password manager) play up when my IP address keeps changing. Surfshark allows me to present the same IP address through time, and at Surfshark long-term prices, that’s a much cheaper option than paying my broadband provider for a fixed IP address.

Installed SS a few months ago, its worked well until a recent SS update which now makes it not possible to use on a MS PC.(windows 7 pro) The fault in the SS system prevents the PC from starting.After several mails to support they have finally admitted that the fault is with them.I have removed the SS and all its threads as I need my PC to work all the time without problems.
I now have a VPN that I cannot use. A workaround was suggested but that does not work correctly.
Customer support has been poor, initially not accepting that there was a problem and every reply exchange from a different person with questions asked NOT being answered.I have been told that no refund is available and that a fix is being worked on.
Initially this was a good VPN option but right now I would be unable to recommend this VPN to anyone.It is a true statement that you do not know how good a service is until it goes wrong.In this case it has gone wrong and the standard of Customer care and support is not good at all.SS claim they are doing all they can etc etc but that is not good enough. This technical fault (in an update)should not have happened and the customer service needs to improve.Specifically, a customers questions must be answered, not disregarded.
Reply from SS suggesting the workaround again —–this does NOT work correctly on the OS I am using—its NOT an answer!

I purchased the 2 years subscription, because it seemed to be the most economical version – and also having seen that they offer a 30 days money back – with the purpose of seeing certain films on Netflix, that are currently available in other countries, but not in Germany.
Their solution (chrome extension) worked seamlessly and there are plenty of countries to choose from. Sadly it did not help me with my Netflix problem – it seems that they take the last payment’s country into account now in order to determine what you may watch on their website. Therefore I decided to refund my purchase.
Although there was no easy press of the button refund option, the necessary support email address and an online chat option were not that hard to find.
I decided to opt for the live chat, since it seemed faster.
The answer to my stated problem was in the lines of “Hi «first_name». How are you?” which, on one side, I found quite annoying, on the other, made me wonder if there’s a real person on the other side of the line – but the rest of the chat went seemingly productive and my problem was perceived as a serious one. I was promised a refund during the next 2-3 days, but did not really received a confirmation email right away.
The email came the next day, along with my money.

All in all, although not perfect, I consider this to have been one of the good experiences that one can get on the online market. Besides, their proxies do work and are easy to use.

Works seamlessly on plenty of my devices. The speed is pretty decent too. App is intuitive. I am using it on Android device, iOS and Windows laptop. For the great feature of having no device limit, and with less than $2 / month (for an extended 3 years contract), SurfShark gives me the best value for money.

Overall, the service is reliable and easy to use. The only downside is that it sometimes causes the internet speed to slow down at times, which then forces you to disconnect and reconnect with Surfshark again to get a more stable connection.

Seems to work perfectly fine and I have not noticed any issues at least on a Windows 10 PC

We have been using this for the past three months now and are very happy with the VPN provided by Surfshark. The price is very reasonable and so is the connectivity. We are able to open websites from all part of the world and work securely in all we are doing. Surfshark is to be highly recommended.

For Windows & Android the app is very good & very easy to use. In Linux there is no GUI so it’s all done in the terminal, a major pain. Funnily enough though I found that when comparing download speeds & using the same vpn server, download speeds are around 3 times faster with Linux.
I’ve never had any problems connecting to the vpn service, connects first time every time & has never dropped out.

Does not seem to make any difference to connection speed as far as I can tell. Set up is easy and then everything takes care of itself. Switching to other servers is a breeze.

I just wrote out the longest review but accediently lost it. Mike is the man for support he helped me like a person interested in solving the issue rather then a guy with a script. Service is great, there are better vpns but tbh not worth the price if this is available. Not to mention the fact they are paying people to really help customers in chat makes me think this isn’t a popup vpn or anything they are going to be around. Either way MIKE 100% should get a raise. He not only kept me with you guys but cemented I will be using you for the next 2 years just because of this work and approcach.

I’ve had a problem with installing the surfshark app on my computer and the app wouldn’t work correctly, but Aiden patiently helped me try about a couple of things to make it work. After 20 minutes and restarting my pc for 3 times, i have managed to install the app without any problems. Thanks Aiden for your help.

I am not familiar with VPN, yet checked this service out for my son who is at college. He was unable to access NBA League Games as we are in Canada. I did see that I could change countries for Netflix, and read the instructions about how he could use this service for his tv and / or ps4, yet he was not committed to the process of trying to figure it all out.

I do not sense a need for myself to have these service, so i used the chat feature to cancel my membership and get refunded. It was taken care of immediately.

Yet the customer service was extremely helpful, and I will recommend it to my son should he desire to figure it out or get help with it.

I have been using Surfshark for about two months and have no complaints. I use it on my Android, Windows and Linux systems, as well as the browser addons.

I have been using it for 2 months now, it’s suffice to say that I have adequate knowledge about the service. First, the speeds on the servers are great, Netflix unblocking is excellent across devices, only streaming services where it doesn’t work is on Amazon prime video and BBC iPlayer on Android only, I was expecting more locations to be added for unblocking but that is not the case. Customer service is great, they generally reply within a day. I only took one star off because of the above mentioned reason. Finally, it provides full value for its subscription , so I guess I will stick to it for now

Works very well, I check ipleak most days to check up it’s doing it’s job and it is.
Small annoyance is when in Google or Bling the search engine works but when you click on suggested sites I cannot connect and retry comes up. So I have to turn off Surfshark to connect then turn it on again to stop ad’s and cookies. Hope that makes sense, oh, when turned on cannot get AOL mail so again I have to turn off to get access. Anyway, I do feel secure when online so the on/off thing I can live with.

I find Surfshark to be reasonably priced compared to the competition? Also Surfshark has an knowledgeable staff should you have a problem, you’ll get a fast answer to resolved the problem! It’s some what slow to connect but fine otherwise!

I use surfshark just about everyday, we use it for our personal devices as well as our small business. Have never had a problem connecting to a server always works great, just have to remember to change it to get onto some sites.

This is the second VPN that I have used and it is far and away better than the last one. I use it mostly to connect to my movie subscriptions back in the US. I find it very fast and I have never had a pause in a movie even at HR.

Great VPN service!

I had heard of surfshark from ads on YouTube. My previous provider was coming up for renewal, so I decided to give them a try, and I’m glad I did.
My previous VPN was just a VPN, surfshark is a VPN with a whole lot more, at a less expensive cost.
First there are plenty of servers, and their fast, I don’t have the buffering issues when streaming shows anymore, plus they have features that my prior VPN didn’t have, I should have switched sooner.
This was one of the only providers to include two factor authentication. Surfshark goes beyond a VPN with it’s added features, you can whitelist list your apps, auto reconnect, it has a kill switch, that works really well, a feature called cleanweb that can block ads, you can connect using multi-hop, or even have a static IP address. Hard to believe I was spending more on an inferior product (my prior VPN).
Do I recommend surfshark? Hell yeah, I’m never going back to “just a VPN”

First of all, i got some Issues.
Connection Errors and slow Download.
after a day try to fixing the problem i texted the support without much hope tbh.
a nice support Lady called Elizabeth looked at my problem, give me some tips to fix it, not even 5 minutes later it works finally with some dns codes. Download is almost the same as without VPN, not a single connection lost, all works great.

Very happy with this easy to use VPN. I have tested speeds with and without the VPN engaged and the loss of speed is not an issue. I can still stream high definition video. (I do have a fast broadband connection) It is simple to select whichever country you desire and the best part is I have multiple (5) devices connected at no extra charge. I don’t know if it is the best as I haven’t tried others but it is was very reasonably priced and I wouldn’t change… Highly recommended

But I wonder if the usefulness of VPN service had not been defeated by web sites which detect VPN use or location spoofing and block VPN access. Surfshark seems to have been rendered useless by Amazon Prime on Firesticks, by MLB app on android devices and by Meijer grocery store web site on Windows 10 computers. The growing list makes VPN use frustrating. The protection is assumed good but if you have to keep turning it off to use the web then what is the value? Hopefully resolutions to these issues are coming soon.

This is a very good VPN service. Generally I don’t notice the VPN running in the background, but there are some occasions where I have to disconnect and reconnect, as my computer has slowed down to a point where it becomes noticeable. The addition search feature and email monitoring are good, and the whole package is cost effective and a great choice for a VPN service.

Surfshark works well as long as you don’t have to use it for business with a company that blocks their IP address. That’s probably the norm for any VPN, but I consider it to be a serious problem, leaving SurfShark with an ‘Average’ rating of 3 stars.

Browser extensions (Edge/Chromium, Firefox) are good, quick connection and they work even with restrictive networks. We need ‘favorites’ to quickly select a specific country. The desktop app is however very slow to start and does not work with restrictive office/LAN networks, it should be optimised (Windows 10).
Android app connects quickly and is stable. Overall a good service at a good price.

When I use Surfshark VPN to get American Netflix. Netflix detects it and I can’t access American Netflix. I got a VPN so I could do this. Seems pointless now. I’ve got a 2 year membership. Feels like I’ve wasted my money.

Just wanted to share some hard work that Aiden and other techs at Surfshark. I was configuring a WiFi router, and was having difficulties. Aiden spent a couple of hours trouble shooting my connectivity issues with dd-wrt. I owe him a BBQ and a beer. Now I can test out the service being brand new to Surfshark. Thank you very much.

After looking at the other top VPN’s, Surfshark ratings, value and history was a no brainer.

Have been only using surfshark for a short time. My overall experience is good. This is much better than malwarebytes vpn. Two things I not pleased with are the subscription process and kill switch. During the subscription process I would chose the subscriptions I wanted and nothing happened. Chose again. Nothing happened. Three times this happened. I gave up to find each time I was charged and now have a five year subscription. Beware? The kill switch worked fine for a bit at start. Then it is consistently not allowing me to connect. I have turned it off. Working great. I do recommend surfshark.

Context of my situation:
I have tried many VPNs over the last few days (including some very expensive and also highly reviewed ones) and spent literally hours trying to sort out complicated issues trying to connect to a particular online service that is resistant to the use of VPNs. The other VPN technical admin people have been trying many different settings, checks and approaches with me, all frustratingly without success.

Having seen a good review in TechRadar, I tried Surfshark and it just worked very quickly with a minor config change that was suggested by their very helpful technical support on live chat.

I used Surfeasy for a few years and it worked fine about 90 to 95 percent of the time. It seemed time to refresh my knowledge of what was available by researching online reviews. Surfshark seemed like the best choice for me and I haven’t been disappointed. The real test will be when I start travelling again but so far it seems to be totally reliable.

My connection is always slow even though I changed the recommended settings.

Surfshark has a large number of servers in a large number of countries. I have found it fast and very professionally designed, easy to setup, easy to use, and (at present at least) very affordable in price. I believe that it has great security and privacy policies. I would definitely recommend this application to anyone in need of a top-of-the-line virtual private network, and in these days who doesn’t need that?

SurfShark support is very good, besides starting with a machine, soon I was in touch with a guy named Aiden, that was very knowledgeable.
The surfshark service though, is not very good for my purpuses, because I have to use a Samsung TV to access Amazon Prime video and they don`t offer this service.

Good format. Easy to use. However, unreliable and slow. Drops connection too often. Decreases speed tremendously. Download around 10 mps is not unusual. Often requires disconnecting VPN because connection to internet can not be made.

Operating Surfshark in China has been the best experience among 5 pay-VPNs I’ve used in the past few years. One of the locations works 9 out of 10 times. Express***, A*G, Astr*** have only ever worked for a short time. Getting updates for Surfshark is easy to do without running a VPN, which is crucial in China since all VPN sites and GooglePlay are blocked. The only downside: some local TV stations still cannot be viewed outside the country of origin.

Works great. Slows my shield tv down for some reason from 300MBs to 100MBs. Doesn’t slow my pc or phone down though!

I’ve only been using Surfshark for a couple months or so but I have had no problems at all during that time. I have found it to be extremely easy to use, and the internet speed is surprisingly good even with a double hop. There is a very good choice of locations to choose from as well. Overall I am quite pleased.

I’ve been using Surfshark over the last two months and my experience so far has been hassle-free. The connection that is established has always been stable and you can choose to be routed from a big list of countries. Also, their pricing is quite reasonable when compared to the competition and the response from their customer support is excellent!

A few applications such as BBC Sounds play up when the VPN is on, but I feel that this is more down to them than Surfshark – it is because they are trying to track and access too much information. I have tried it on my iPhone, Mac, Windows 10 PC and even Linux and it works well. The Linux setup and use could be improved.

Hello, I have a problem with the kill switch on android. When I change the protocol I can’t connect to WiFi. When I disconnect Surfshark and reconnect the kill switch it blocks and it doesn’t work. Can’t improve kill kill? It’s really awful. And no. I will not contact you. I’ve told you several times! + Bad clean web. Clean web does not work properly at all. Blocks Instagram links. Go to the official Surfshark account on Instagram and turn on the clean web. Then click on the link in biu. I contacted support 1000× times. I only use Surfshark because it is cheap. I’d rather use NordVPN. And lately I’ve noticed that on my laptop Surfshark slows down wifi.

This VPN is fast and reliable. It has a lot of servers in different countries and can be used in an unlimited amount of devices (it supports Linux, which is something very important for me). I have been using it for the last one week. So far everything is fine, but the upload speed sometimes drops by 50% which I have never found in my network. The bypass VPN option is very helpful for me.

My only issue with Surfshark is having to log back in when I open the browser again. But this doesn’t happen consistently; sometimes I’m connected from the start. So I can never predict whether opening the browser (Firefox) will have me connected or not.

I have been using this service for more than a month and I find it, very worth every dollar I spend on it. One, I don’t need to worry about how many device I am using it on. I might have a laptop, desktop and a few smart device, already more than five. Some of the provider I know and used before, all restricted to only that amount of usage at the same time. Having no worry of limitation of devices, I don’t even need to keep track which device I am using, as it will be VPN and protected. As I am also a visually impaired users, I depend a lot on screen reader like talkback android, voiceover IOS, jaws on the desktop etc, the app itself is very very accessible. In comparison, I am using this surfshark VPN service as compared to other which have more server around the world, surfshark really shine when it comes to reliability and value for money. Surfshark is not the best in terms of performance at times of the day but I can see its improving regularly. The speed is improving especially. There’s some VPN provider which have a lot of countries and server around the world but they are rather expensive if you would divide into monthhly subscription. If you want protection of anonymous surfing and also bang for your dollar, then surfshark is the way to go. You might get some slowness at times but you can use the static or other country to get what you wanted. Static ip is a premium service for some VPN provider.

I found a Surfshark to be so easy to set up with no disconnection problems which I previously experienced. The app is intuitive and simple to navigate. I use a vpn on my phone, iPad, desktop and 2 Amazon Firesticks and Surfshark meets my needs in every respect. I love it and would happily recommend it to anyone. I have been struggling with threr basic issues which your website never stated
a) slow internet speed
b) Android 9 is not compatible with your app and software in that once you turn on the app the internet access via Ethernet is disabled. Chat conversation with tech support confirms this and said nothing could be done to fix it .
c) accessing USA Netflix is still a problem especially with Android. Netflix app shuts down when Surf Shark VPN is turned on in the Android TV box or display a message about shutting down the blocker. Even when I am able to access Netflix and stream movies the slow speed dirupt the movie with lots of buffering. These experiences of buffering, shut down and disconnection are more prevalent with Android 9.

Manages to get a VPN connection under very adverse conditions where other VPN’s that I have tried could not consistently connect.
Very broad range of locations (I have not counted the list compared to the competition, but the list of locations is very long) and any location I choose works as well as the fastest one that is chosen automatically.

None that I can find after several months of usage.

Some of my favorite features are:

*Clean and slick, No unnecessary GUI or animations. Some VPN’s show you connecting to the VPN like a gofer tunneling across the world and pops up in Thailand lol.

*Connection options. You can connect to the closest, or fastest server, and the multi-hop (Double-Hop) feature is amazing adding yet another layer of security. With over 60 countries to choose plus more than 1000 servers, you can truly be anywhere.

*The Kill Switch – yet another amazing feature (even though other companies provide it as well.) I am glad that you included that as one of your features. Just in case your connection happens to drop you will not automatically reconnect to the internet.

*Split Tunneling feature is also amazing on my desktop. Which allows me to keep gaming with my locally, but also be able to watch shows on Netflix or even YouTube videos that are not available on my region.

*Family friendly with UNLIMITED connections. This is a first for me, even with IPVanish, NordVPN, or ExpressVPN; you have to basically pick and choose what device and which family member can use it. But SurfShark eliminates that all together! Companies don’t need to know what you look up so they can target you with ads.

*BlindSearch is another great feature, but better to me than incognito mode. Just because you are “incognito” does not mean that your carrier and/or provider does not see what you are looking up. I usually use mine when I want to find my fiancé a gift and not have to worry about auto fill showing her that I had a purchase order for Peloton bike. This really ruined a Christmas surprise.

I can do a more in-depth review of all the other features such as, CleanWeb, HackLock, SmartDNS, GPS Override, ect.

But I would really like to get to my main favorite feature. Pricing! Surfshark is affordable. I break it down like this.

1-month of privacy = cheaper than my Netflix subscription.

12-months of privacy = 1 Venti Starbucks frappe or a meal at any restaurant

24-months of privacy = The best bang for your buck! When you break it down monthly it’s less than $2.00! Not even water is that cheap at a gas station.

The next test I would love to do on Surfshark is play Multiplayer games on different servers like EU or UK servers and check on the ping and latency. Run a couple test on those as well as possibly give feedback as it can become the first dedicated gaming VPN.

Fantastic VPN for a fantastically low price. Everything works great, but as a Linux user I miss out on not being able to view YouTube whilst being on a Swedish VPN (living in Sweden). Easily fixed by selecting Finland instead, which works fine, I don’t know why.

I use this VPN for about 2 months and is rly good and cheap..For me its Fast in Serbia all Balkan servers are working which is very good from their side i try other vpns to connect to balkan states but it doesnt work only on surfshark works..If there is 10 stars i will give 🙂

Within 3 weeks of me signing up for the 2 year plan I was not able to access DSTV which had been the sole purpose why I signed up to SurfShark. I contacted their customer service about the issue and was told that they are aware of it and are working on the issue. It’s been 4 weeks now since I haven’t been able to gain access and there’s still no resolve for the issue. They won’t even give a timeline of when it will be resolved. When I asked for a refund for my subscription they totally refused. Be warned they are running a SCAM. I regret ever signing up with them. They basically took my money for a service that doesn’t work!!!!

Simple to down load onto fire stick. Works in Australia as we can now get British catchup TV in Australia, tho having a problem with BBC Iplayer.

There’s a learning curve with set-ups, especially hotspot broadcasting on windows laptop and understanding DNS set-up and knowing when a server is down for watching Netflix. Tech support is great though! I have it loaded on my Sony Android TV and I can stream Netflix from another country if I want to watch something not on US Netflix. However, the speed is slow and barely achieves HD quality ranging from 4Mbps to 1 Mbps starting out with a 25Mbps cable provider. Tech support was great in helping me try to make it faster but alas the servers/my router/my computer is slow, I did have faster speeds with ExpressVPN but I didn’t want to pay their rates. I have surfshark on my Windows 10 laptop and I use Surfshark when downloading legal torrents and it works well for protecting me from trackers and the cable company nosing in my business. I have surfshark set-up to broadcast through the Windows HotSpot so that I can use it with my Roku Netflix and it works, but again the speeds suffer even more because of the loss from hotspot transmit/receiving. I wish surfshark would work with wifi hotspot on my wife’s desktop mac; currently not supported. I use it on my Samsung S9 when android seems to be lagging due to geo-location or some app is stealing data. The surfshark app seems to allow the other apps to work more smoothly maybe because location data isn’t being logged? Overall, the app interfaces among all devices could use some love with usability.

Okay so I bought this VPN service in Feb.2020, this VPN works magic in Germany. All what it claims to do, it does. For example the Youtube-Premium reduction price, the booking.com lower rates…etc.

Only sad part is, when I went back to UAE, the VPN is not connecting to the WIFI. UAE internet regulations is blocking it. which is devastating for me. I am used to being almost always on VPN. and in UAE you cant at all.

For all you out there outside UAE, give it a try and see how much you can save by just changing your world-location.

Oh and they always have promotion codes and such, so get the service when its on a great promotion-time.

I love the fact that Google doesn’t know my business and can’t sell my information more than it already has. The adds directed at me from surfing the Net are gone. I love it.

Only having used Surfshark for a little over a month, I can say that it seems to have the same capabilities. The one difference that I’ve noticed, unlike PIA, is that the Windows 10 app never fails to connect. With PIA I often had connection failures. The one thing I don’t like is that the Surfshark Kill Switch on the web browser apps affects the whole computer, not just the activity on the particular browser being used. That was not the case with PIA.

Like everything computer-related when you make changes, you need to spend time with the function to get comfortable with it. I can remember the learning curve I went through when I changed from Wordperfect as my primary word processor to Word. With Wordperfect, I knew just where to go to in the menu structure to get document designs done, Trying to achieve that same level of confidence with Word was frustrating and took time. The leaning curve for Surfshark will pass, hopefully, sooner than later.

I was in need of a VPN service so I gave Surfshark a try. I skipped the free trial and signed up for 3-yr service and the price was great. Surfshark has a lot of servers from different regions and locales to select from. The App UI is easy to use and is very intuitive. I have been using Surfshark for two months and I like it so far. The connections are good and stable; I rarely experience any disconnection on daily basis. I always leave it on when connected to the internet. You can get decent speed for normal use and torrenting. I am happy with the service so far. I plan to extend my subscription in the upcoming month.

Surfshark is a FAST VPN and it loads just as fast. The white list feature is a bonus I hadn’t counted on. It works well. It protects me from the constant tens of thousands of attacks per minute that all computers are subject to while connected to the web or any wan every day.

I used Surfshark for about six weeks and found web pages very slow to load, often they wouldn’t load at all until Surshark was disconnected.
Customer support was very good and I tried their many suggestions to improve performance, unfortunately all without success. Curiously an instruction to change DNS server settings proved pointless as Surfshark software simply changed them back each time. The trial period was extended whilst attempting to resolve the issues and a refund was eventually made without issue.
Surfshark has significantly fewer servers than others and only three in the UK.
A very disappointing outcome and an experience worthy of only one star for product performance but five stars for customer support.

Having connection issues with a lot of sites, including my streaming services, in India, whre I am based. Very slow speeds on servers in India as well as outside of India. And I am not even trying to connect to streaming services to outside my own country, which is in any case not hapenning. The customer service has been very prompt and helpful, though. Hi I have reported about the BBC iplayer issue before and Amazon Prime. But more importantly BBC iplayer. Can you please sort out the past TV shows, they are not playing and they have never worked. Only live TV is working with your android TV app both on smart phones and TV boxes. I have spent two days with your support teams and clearly this is not working. I have signed up specifically for streaming.

Jim, was fantastic with his customer service. I had gone through with this issue with 2 other support staff and it kept reoccurring. I even wiped my Mac and did a clean install in case there was issues with malware. We had to go through multiple configurations and eventually pinned it down to use of P2P software and surfshark listing it as a DNS leak, when in fact it was a designated DNS server when P2P software was running. Jim was patient and courteous throughout our interaction and deserves to be commended on his effort. Maybe a bonus as well 😉

Just this week Canada’s national broadcaster, CBC, revised its website and now blocks anyone using a VPN. This is annoying, as it’s my favourite TV/Radio network. Even though I am a Canadian, a resident, and even use a Canadian IP address, it still blocks me.
I fear that other broadcasters, (e.g., BBC, ABC – Australia) will follow suit. That was one of the main reasons I subscribed to Surfshark. If this feature is not improved, I will not be renewing my subscription.

Unfortunately, I didn’t end up going with this service. I paid for a 13 month subscription, but their service wasn’t compatible with the router I was using. Within a few days of purchase, I contacted support (who was great at trying to troubleshoot my issue and understanding when I asked to cancel). My refund was in my account the next day.

Surfshark has been very reliable for me and fast. I have used it on Android, Windows and Linux and have not had a problem with connectivity or speed. It is by far the best cost that I have seen, I signed up for their 2 year plan for around $2/month. I would recommend it to anyone.

I had trouble downloading the app on Day 1. I immediately was able to contact Ashley from Tech support.. She was soo patient and kept getting past my annoying answers wondering why SS wouldn’t download. We tried everything..I hung on, wisely not asking for my money back, mainly because of her diligence. Good speeds, really cheap compared to others.

I purchased a 2 year subscription to Surfshark a couple of months ago. Not quite sure what happened but for the first 2-3 days the connection was really bad and/or slow, and I had to call the help line and seriously considered cancelling. The help line was easy to reach and very helpful but did not really resolve my problems, however, my issues seem to have resolved themselves.

I use Surfshark primarily on my Windows computer when needed to hide my ID but also on my iPhone and Smart TV if needed to bypass geographic restrictions and except for the exceptions below, am glad I have purchased it and would highly recommend the service.

I subscribe to DAZN Canada and am able to get DAZN Germany but cannot get DAZN US, Japan, Spain, etc as they know I am trying to log in with a VPN from another country. This is unfortunate as those other countries have sports not shown on DAZN Canada.

I can log into NBC Peacock on my computer with the VPN but when I try on my Smart TV, Firestick or Android box, it knows I am using a VPN and denies me access.

Access to DAZN in all countries where it is available would be nice. NBC Peacock I’m not too fussed that I cannot get on my TV.

This honestly works great and is soo cheap compared to all other VPNs I love it and have no complains whatsoever.

Works fine on my pc and Firestick but not so good on my android phone – to the point where I uninstalled it because it kept interfering/blocking my internet connection.
Also, it seems I must check the connection each time I go online as there is no warning (that I have found) that the connection may have been lost.
All in all, I would still say its a good value.

Surfshark is a wonderful vpn at an affordable price no less, there are several options in terms of locations, there’s even a way to see how good the connection will be, and it really comes in handy for things like Netflix and other streaming platforms. I have used other vpns like Nord or Express, and while their support is great, they don’t have the same feel or options as Surfshark, not to mention they are a bit pricier than this one.

The interface and usability is good. But for certain countries, the internet speeds can be lacking when compared to my previous VPN provider, making it hard to stream videos.

I am still waiting but I believe Surfshark should uphold its professionalism for its reputable VPN.

I love Surfshark! This is the only paid VPN I have had, but it truly is very fast, is loaded with features and customizations, and has an easy UI. The feature I like best is the kill switch. If the VPN drops for some reason, it suspends your internet access until it is reconnected or until you disable the kill switch feature. This is the first time I request support from Surfshark and I was extremely satisfied with the whole experience. The customer support agent, Lucian, with whom I spoke via live chat was very nice, responsive and diligent in dealing with my issue.

Great customer service when needed, had a couple issues and they were very prompt to respond and help, Customer Support agent Sharon was very helpful.

Install was quick and easy. Setting SurfShark up to work not so much. I have a 200Mbs service and about the best speed I could get using the automated search for a server was about 90 Mbs. I contacted support and while they were very helpful and attentive in trying to resolve the speed issue and suggesting various manual settings I was never ever able to get above 50% of my normal speed.

Signed up for a subscription six months ago and I can say they offer a good value for money service and a very good customer support, although few things should be improved:
– The whitelister on websites and IPs doesn’t work properly, tried to sort it out with the support team in the live chat but they didn’t find a solution even though they tried their best.
– The clean-web features makes some websites inaccessible when active
– It’s p2p friendly but the uploading/seeding is very limited.

I come from a premium vpn from country famous for chocolates. Man I was blown when I looked at the speeds. This vpn gave 80% of my actual speeds consistently day and night much higher than my other premium vpn.

The biggest breakthrough moment that prompted me to write this review is a normal email request. I asked them to cover my country in multihop . I honestly dint expect them to do it during this covid times. But boy within a week, the multi hop to my country was up and running and they dint even advertise or write a blog about it. I just found it when I checked casually. Mind = blown

So the product itself is just okay. I do see more slowdown than I expected. But the interface is good, and easy to use. I had a problem and customer service was quick and helpful. The solution was more complex then I thought was needed, but it worked okay in the end.

Surf shark is so simplistic in design. It works great and is so easy to learn and use. Given the price point is one of the lower end I was leery at first that i couldn’t trust it or it’d terrible slow etc, but the connections are so fast and I haven’t seen any indication they’re selling my information nor selling out any of my activity.

I have found SurfShark to be easy to use on Mac and iOS. I have also used their manual configuration to get it working on Ubuntu Linux.

I have found the CleanWeb feature to be excellent, especially on mobile, as it removes ads before they get to your phone, reducing the amount of mobile data you use.

I also like that one subscription covers all of my devices – I have a phone and three computers all using the same SurfShark account.

I can also confirm that the various geographical endpoints allow the use of each country’s online video services that allow you to watch movies (or ‘flix’) on the Net. 😉

Connection speed using a VPN is always going to be slower than connecting directly, but the speeds I have experienced have not really been noticeably slower. If you do occaisionally find a connection slower than expected, it is easy to switch to a different server, but I rarely have to do that.

Overall I am very happy with the service and the privacy and protection it offers me.

Overall it still gets a 5/5 from me, despite the fact that I cannot activate Smart DNS on my TV as Surshark only supports IPv4 and not IPv6. It really is great value for money and I would recommend it to anyone. It is easy to set up, and does exactly what it says it will do. The support team are very helpful, and in my experience have always responded in a timely fashion.

Easy to use and the big advantage with surfshark is that you can use your account on an unlimited number devices.

Works well, with fast connection speeds. Only dropped the connection a couple of times, but much more reliable than my previous provider & a fraction of the cost. Overall, a great VPN to use for secure connections 👍

SurfShark support team reached out to me to resolve an apparent geo-location issue. It appears the issue occurred due to the “whatismyipaddress” IP locator service’s database not having up-to-date information, i.e., not SurfShark’s fault. SurfShark provided me with an alternate locator service to try and I used a few others to test as well. It turns out the locations displayed by SurfShark are correct. The location data returned by whatismyipaddress dot com was inaccurate for many locations outside of the United States. Thank you to the SS team for being so quick to clarify this issue.

The VPN works inside the US. If you are inside the USA and connect to a location outside the US, you’ll be connected to a server in an entirely different country. For example, connect to Brazil – congratulations, you’re in Chile. Connect to some other South American country, you’re in Los Angeles, and on and on. Additionally, the IP addresses used for “some” servers are known hacker addresses. Be very careful regarding the locations you are attaching to – always check your IP address after attach by going to whatismyipaddress dot com.

I’ve been using Surfshark for a couple of months now and I am very impressed that they offer good speeds in terms of their price. I am happy with their customer service whenever I need some help from them. I recommend this VPN if you are on a tight budget.

I’m not sure what you do. After purchasing surf shark, I haven’t been able to gamble on my favorite site, Draft Kings. Im not sure if you block my location, but they will not let me drposit money, they say it’s because of you guys. Otherwise, no worries. I wish you’d tell me what exactly I get for the money. I have been using surfshark for couple of months now. I love the pricing and the fact that they do not limit the # of devices. So one subscription helps me protect all devices in my house including Android TV. Netflix works out of box without any issues. Other streaming services are hit or miss depending on how you are using them (web vs app). You can whitielist them or work your way around them without many issues. HBO Max has no issues. Hulu is hit or miss. Prime works through web interface but has issues with the App. I consider these to be minor annoyance at best in scheme of things. The value this service provides and privacy are worth it.

I have not tried its different options, maybe they are helpful. Before one month trial period I reached costumer service to ask for a refund as I noticed my internet speeds sometime is slow with the VPN. I stopped using it because of too many problems with connections and causing need to re-boot my fire tv stick.

So far as I can tell, SurfShark has been doing a good job of hiding my location and filtering things appropriately.
My only issue that I’ve had is every so often (around a couple times a week or so), I will suddenly have no connection even though my Wi-Fi is just fine. I end up having to drop my connection with SurfShark just to get it to connect again, as I’m usually doing something urgent. This is definitely less than ideal and I really hope they fix it soon. It’s pointless to have if I’m being made to drop it just to use my internet. I have full-time online school and other important things I cannot afford to have issues with.

Fast, reliable and affordable. Everything you want in a VPN, Surfshark’s got it. I got 2 and a half year worth of service for $50 USD, unlimited devices and fast servers, just amazing!

Don’t waste your money. The only reason I kept it was because I got a really good deal on it and didn’t start using it until it was too late to return. Otherwise, it’s even worse than free vpns. You will have one issue after another and technical is either not properly trained or not interested in helping you.
I even sent a diagnosis of my issues along with several emails detailing and explaining the problem, but all I got in reply were randomly generated auto response or replies that had nothing to do with the problem itself which meant I was just wasting my precious time.
I ended up having to go through my own diagnostic report line by line to figure out the issue. I resolved the problem myself with the use of my own diagnostic, something even their tecnical support couldn’t do, and I’m just an average Joe who only knows how to turn on and off a laptop or phone, browse the internet and send messages or make calls. No technical know how whatsoever. This goes to show their technical support is useless.
I have had other issues since then and have to turn off the vpn multiple times a day just so I can use some apps or acess some sites, defeating the purpose of having a vpn in the first place.
All in all, this have been a very disappointing and worthless vpn. Trust me. No deal is worth buying it for.

Easy to use. The price is very reasonable. My only complaint is that I have is some of the sites I use, I have to turn the surf shark off so that I can use them. The one I have the most trouble with is fitbit.

I like SurfShark because it keeps me safe and is a good value. I can easily turn it off or on if I need to. I can easily add web sites to SurfShark that are safe.
