You can receive compensation for a delayed flight if your ticket was issued in the European Union (EU) under the EU Regulation 261/2004. It provides that you could be eligible to receive anywhere between 250 to 600 euros depending on the length of the delay and the flight distance. You must arrive at your destination more than three hours late to receive compensation.
