How will Southwest compensate for cancelled flights?

Southwest will compensate customers for cancelled flights by providing a full refund to the original form of payment for the unused portions of their itinerary. They may also offer customers a travel credit for their account to be used for a future flight if travel cannot be rescheduled at that time. In some cases, customers can also receive an EarlyBird Check-In fee refund or an adjustment, to their Rapid Rewards account, for a partial reimbursement of the points used for booking.
