What happens if a flight gets cancelled?

If a flight is cancelled, the airline has a responsibility to rebook passengers on the next available flight. Depending on the airline and the details of the cancellation, travelers may receive a full refund or some form of compensation. Airlines may also offer flights on alternate airlines if their own flights aren’t available. If travelers do not wish to accept a refund or alternate flight, they may be entitled to additional compensation depending on the reason behind the cancellation.
