What happens to my luggage if my flight is cancelled?

If your flight is cancelled, your airline will usually store your checked luggage until they can put it on another flight. Depending on the airline, they may cover the cost of shipping the luggage to you. You can usually find out what it covers by reading the airline’s agreement or by contacting the airline directly.
