- What does an airline owe you for a cancelled flight?
An airline owes you for a cancelled flight in the form of compensation or a refund to the original form of payment. At a minimum, the airline should offer a full refund of the unused ticket and in some circumstances, you may also be able to claim for reimbursement for lost expenses. In addition, the airline should provide an explanation as to why the flight was cancelled.
