- Why are flights getting cancelled?
Flight cancellations can occur for many reasons, some of which are: weather, airline crew shortages, mechanical problems, safety concerns, and airport closures. Flight cancellations can disrupt travel plans and cause delays. Airlines may need to cancel flights due to bad weather, such as low visibility or strong winds, which can prevent pilots from taking off safely. Airline crew shortages can also cause flight cancellations as airlines may not be able to operate a particular flight if there aren’t enough personnel available. Additionally, mechanical problems with the aircraft or safety concerns can lead to flight cancellations. Finally, airport closures due to weather, security concerns, or construction can stop flights from departing.
