- What happens if flight is cancelled due to weather?
If a flight is cancelled due to weather, passengers will generally be offered alternative transport or a refund for the cancelled flight. Depending on the circumstances, passengers may also be provided with assistance for meals, transport and/or lodging. Most airlines also offer assistance with rescheduling or rebooking flights. If the airline is unable to accommodate the traveller, the passenger should contact their credit card issuer or travel insurance provider to discuss any additional recourse that may be available.
