What happens if I cancel my Southwest flight?

Last updated on April 25, 2023

When you cancel a Southwest flight, you will receive a refund in Southwest Airlines travel funds, a dollar-based account for the fare paid (including taxes and other fees). Depending on the fare option purchased at the time of your booking, certain refund fees may apply. The travel fund can be used within one year of the date of issuance to cover the cost of another Southwest flight.
