Airlines may cancel flights for a variety of reasons, including inclement weather, operational issues, and safety concerns. Typically, airlines will provide notification of flight cancellations no less than 2 hours prior to the departure time. If the cancellation is due to factors outside of the airline's control, passengers may be entitled to a refund or rebooking.
