What happens when flights are cancelled?

When flights are cancelled, passengers are usually eligible for a refund and/or a rebooking onto a later flight. If the issue is because of airline scheduling, the airline is typically responsible for refunding or rescheduling. In the event that the cancellation is due to bad weather or other uncontrollable circumstances, the airline will make the decision about the best course of action for the affected passengers.
